Midsummer’s Eve

90th Midsummer’s Eve at Crimson Dawn

Annual Midsummer Festival Gallery

Since June 21, 1929 Crimson Dawn has celebrated Summer Solstice in a very special way. As the first trails and shrines were built through the woods to enchanted places which evoked stories about the mystical mountain inhabitants the spark of creation burst forth. Later Neal Forsling led her friends along the winding paths in the dark with lanterns sharing stories and a potluck finale. Today the tradition continues with an evening storytelling walk through the network of shrines culminating with the yearly Midsummer Bonfire atop the southern Red Butte. Cookies and hot chocolate follow the event. Join the fun and forest frolic and become part of the annual tradition.

“Attend the Midsummer’s Eve Event at the park which is held every year on June 21st, come rain or shine. Bring your coat, your kids, and your friends and enjoy the magical story of Crimson Dawn as has been passed on for generations”
